Everyday throughout the Festival, The Forum's impressive Atrium is transformed into The Explorium - a vibrant and exciting place for visitors of all ages to get stuck into some hands-on science.

Explore the incredible research happening right here in Norwich with our partners, University of East Anglia and Norwich Research Park. Shrink down into the world of microbes in the Microbe Zoo, take a trip to the Festival Bookshop, test your own scientific skills and learn about all the wonders of STEMM!

What's on today

Alice Lee - join artist Alice Lee (Parallel Point) for a fun, free workshop. Get creative and colour a winged insect design and make it into an animated mobile you can take home. All ages and skill levels welcome!

J Murphy & Sons Limited - get hands-on with wildlife identification and soil testing! Play a woodland wildlife game and conduct your own experiments to explore soil textures and characteristics.

Mini Monsters - come and meet a selection of minibeasts, reptiles and invertebrates and discover fascinating facts about these amazing animals.

RWE - discover Roman life in Norfolk through an augmented reality app, inspired by archaeological finds uncovered during onshore works for RWE’s Vanguard West, East and Boreas offshore wind farms.

Food & Farming Discovery Trust - learn all about food, farming and the countryside with the charity education team, outside The Forum on Upper Millennium Plain.

UEA Zone - explore the incredible science taking place at the University of East Anglia, with interactive, hands-on activities led by academics, researchers and leading experts.

The Wired Nest – join artists from The Nest Project CIC to help build a growing nest! Use recycled wires and natural materials to create this interactive artwork inspired by nature and sustainability.
