Young people can
register to take part through their school or college or as independent
participants. Once registered, an Award is achieved by undertaking hours of
extracurricular STEMM-related activities which are logged on a personalised
e-portfolio.
Students can
work towards a Bronze, Silver or Gold level Award, by inspiring the next
generation, engaging the public, developing skills and shaping their future
career in the STEMM sector. The e-portfolio also allows schools to capture
engagement across their cohort and identify areas that need further development.
Every event in
the Norwich Science Festival can count towards an award. Students should take a
note of the length of the events they attend and log them onto their
e-portfolio with a brief description of the activity and a reflection of the
skill or knowledge learned.
