Science On Your Doorstep is a new project from Norwich Science Festival and The Forum, with the aim of bringing the wonder of science to families, children and young people across Norwich. The project is particularly focused on the NR3, NR5, NR6 and NR8 areas.
Science On Your Doorstep aims to inspire new audiences and spark their curiosity in all things STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and maths) through free, fun and accessible events in partnership with local communities. Research shows that children who have opportunities to participate in inspiring science experiences are more likely to engage in science at school and consider future science careers.
The project began in December 2023 and is funded for two years, with events taking place throughout this period.
This project is kindly supported by Anguish Educational Foundation, Norwich Freemen's Charity and the John Jarrold Trust. Events are delivered in partnership with local organisations, community groups, schools and STEAM experts from across Norwich and beyond.
