Booking tickets

Many exhibitions, events and activities at Norwich Science Festival are free. The Forum and our partners have kept prices, to the paid-for events, as low as possible. Ticket income is used to cover the costs of bringing high profile shows and speakers to Norwich and to pay for other Festival events, which are free and open to all.  

Booking FAQs

  • Norwich Science Festival 2021 tickets go on sale Wednesday 8 September at 10am.

  • For Norwich Science Festival At Home, all events are free and unticketed - please see individual event listings for details of the live watch links.

    For the full Norwich Science Festival, tickets can be booked online - check individual event listings for details. Please note that some bookings are made via this website, and other events will be through our partners' booking systems.

  • Tickets are not available in person, by telephone, post or email with The Forum office.

  • These are available, where specified against the event listing or in the brochure, for events sold via for: children under the age of 16, adults aged 60 or over, students in full-time education, Go4Less card holders, those on Income Support, registered disabled. Please bring proof of eligibility to the event. For tickets sold by other venues, e.g. Norwich Theatre Playhouse, please see their website for terms and conditions.

  • Any audience member requiring a Personal Assistant in order to attend a Festival event can receive one free ticket for their registered carer – please contact after you have booked your original ticket to arrange. Proof of eligibility may be required. For events where tickets are purchased direct with the venue, e.g. Norwich Theatre Playhouse, please check their terms and conditions on how to book Personal Assistant places.

  • We include an approximate age recommendation as a guide to help you choose your events. Everyone is welcome to all of the listed events (unless specified as adults only), but some will be more suited to the ages suggested, due to content or language.

    Children under 12 must be accompanied in talks and workshops by a responsible adult.

  • Please check each individual event to see who needs tickets. Generally, for seated family shows everyone will need a ticket, including adults, whereas for workshops specifically for children, only the children need tickets (but must be accompanied by an adult).

Cancellations & Refund Policy

Ticket refunds are not offered unless an event is cancelled or if you supply proof of a positive Covid test by emailing Occasionally, events may be cancelled at short notice due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control. In the event of cancellation of pre-book events, every endeavour will be made to contact ticket holders and refunds will be offered. We regret that we may not be able to offer an alternative for cancelled events. Please check this website for up-to-date event information. 

COVID-19 Considerations

All events will run in line with local and national government guidelines at the time of the Festival. We advise face coverings to be worn at inside events and to keep a comfortable distance from others where possible. Check individual event listings for any site-specific guidance.

  • If you have displayed COVID19 symptoms, had a positive test or been told to self-isolate by NHS Track and Trace in the 10 days prior to the performance, please do not attend the Festival. If you have purchased tickets for a talk or workshop, contact us on 01603 727950or at are able to offer refunds for tickets in these circumstances.

  • As you enter talk venues, please have your e-ticket ready on your device or printed.

  • Doors to the talk venues will open 15minutes prior to talk/workshop start times.

  • Enhanced cleaning regimes are in place in all Festivalvenues throughout the event.

  • The wearing of face masks is a personal choice, unless there is specific government or public health guidance in place at the time,but is encouraged. 

  • Hand sanitiser units will be available throughout the venue. Visitors must sanitise hands before and after engaging with hands-on activities at the Festival.

  • For 2021, we have chosen larger venues where possible for the safety and comfort of visitors. Please see listings and your ticket for talk venues. 

  • If you have any questions during your visit, please speak to a member of our events team or a festival volunteer who will be wearing a black or blue t-shirt, or visit our information desk in The Forum’s Atrium.

We want to make the Norwich Science Festival the best experience for everyone. We have prepared a video and guide, for children and parents of children with autism and Aspergers. We will also have copies of the guide available during the Festival at the information desk. We hope that you will find the guide and video useful, and that you enjoy your visit!


Please note that photography / filming will take place during Festival events – please notify a Festival event team member if you do not wish to be included. For online events, these may be recorded via the software e.g. Zoom / Microsoft Teams.

The Forum Car Park is perfect for visits to the Norwich Science Festival’s Explorium hands-on family activities, which take places in The Forum’s Atrium, and for most city centre venues. Parking at The Forum helps support our year-round programme of free events – including Norwich Science Festival.
