A celebration of science

Presented by The Forum with Principal Partner University of East Anglia, Norwich Science Festival is an annual celebration of science and technology, showcasing the city’s world-leading research and innovation.

The Festival offers all ages the chance to explore STEMM through inspiring talks, live shows, exhibitions and hands-on activities. It brings together scientists, artists, creative practitioners and industry professionals to engage and inspire thousands of people from all backgrounds each year.

Launched in 2016, Norwich Science Festival has grown into a much-loved feature of the city’s calendar, now celebrating over a decade of inspiring audiences.

Since its debut - featuring speakers such as Prof Robert Winston and Dr Helen Czerski - the Festival has welcomed leading scientists, researchers and communicators from Norfolk, the UK and beyond, including Dr Jane Goodall, Steve Backshall, Helen Sharman, Prof Alice Roberts, Chris Packham, Hamza Yassin, Prof Ben Garrod, Maddie Moate, and Dr Hannah Fry.

Norwich Science Festival also presents a yearly Learning Programme for schools, and coordinates the community outreach project, Science on Your Doorstep. The Festival, and its associated projects are very much a team effort, and we couldn't do it without the support of our generous sponsors, partners, patrons and funders.

The Forum Trust is a self-financing, independent charity. The Trust manages The Forum building in the centre of Norwich, and works with partners to deliver and support a wide programme of events, celebrating education and learning, local heritage and culture, both at The Forum and across Norfolk.

Parking at The Forum helps to support our programme of mainly free year-round programme of events and look after The Forum building.
