Ahead of Norwich Science Festival 2026, join Sci Comms East for this interactive workshop, exploring some of the ways in which science communicators can engage young audiences.
Led by Dr Mandy Hartley and Dr Lucy Catto, the workshop will provide you with top tips and tools to communicate your research to the public, with an emphasis on children and family audiences. The workshop will include plenty of examples of the types of hands-on activities that work well for public engagement at science festivals - with the aim of helping you to make your research as accessible as possible to non-specialist audiences.
This session is suitable for researchers, PhD students, staff at Norwich Research Park, and anyone working within or looking to start a career in science communication more generally. Attendees may wish to bring along a notebook and pen.
The session is free to attend and light refreshments will be provided. Spaces are limited and must be pre-booked.
