There’s something for everyone in this session, as together, you’ll pool your favourite science facts, comb through STEMM-inspired writing prompts and use our best words to craft the ultimate family poem.

Bring the grown-ups – whether it’s nature-mad Dad or poem-fanatic Gran – for a morning of games, learning and writing! No spelling or grammar skills needed, no previous science knowledge or poetry experience required — just come along to play, chat, and create as a family!

About Daisy

Daisy Henwood is a writer, and co-director of TOAST Poetry. TOAST brings great poetry to audiences of all ages, from kids’ events, to writing workshops, big shows, to tiny performances — it’s always poetry, but not as you know it.

Daisy writes about history, science, and the natural world, and uses these themes in delivering writing workshops to people aged 5-95 for organisations like the Norfolk Museums Service, the Norfolk and Norwich Festival, and the National Centre for Writing. She has a PhD in environmental literature from UEA.
