Information on how to book your tickets, plus cancellations, refunds and waiting lists.

Most Norwich Science Festival events – including free events – must be booked in advance. You’ll find all events produced by Norwich Science Festival listed on our What’s On page.

Tickets can be booked online at norwichsciencefestival.co.uk. During the Festival (13-20 February 2027), tickets can be booked in person at our Info Desk at The Forum. As a charity with a small team, we are unable to operate an in-person box office.

In some cases, you will be directed to our venue partner’s websites to book your tickets. This includes Norwich Theatre, Epic Studios, National Centre for Writing and the Norfolk Wildlife Trust. Please check individual event listings for details.

Norwich Science Festival is produced by The Forum, a registered charity. We receive no regular public funding, and our Festival is not-for-profit. We use the income from ticket sales to help cover the costs of putting on events at the Festival. This income also supports our programme of free events. In 2026, 35% of our programme was free to access.

Refunds and Cancellations

Norwich Science Festival tickets are non-refundable, except in the event of a cancellation.

Occasionally, events may be cancelled at short notice. If an event is cancelled, we will email visitors who have booked tickets to inform them. A refund will also be processed automatically onto the payment card that was used to book your tickets.

No longer able to attend a free event?

If you can no longer attend a free event that you booked on to, please let us know by email at [email protected]. This allows us to release your free ticket to other visitors. By cancelling your free ticket, we can ensure more visitors can access and enjoy the Festival’s free programme!

FAQs

Tickets can be bought online via our website right up until the time of the event, using a mobile phone or tablet. You will need to be connected to data or WiFi to purchase tickets online.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer cash ticket sales on the door at our events. Please check the website for updates about whether events are fully booked.

  • Babies under 2 years old - often referred to as 'babes in arms' - do not need a ticket as they do not require a seat. Children over 2 years old do need their own ticket.

Please note that some events are not suitable for very young children.

  • Visitors who need an essential carer or companion to support them can book a free Essential Companion ticket. An Essential Companion ticket can only be booked alongside one paid ticket. We do not need proof of eligibility.
