Exploring humanity's energy futures

One World is Enough for All of Us. These words from the 1981 album by The Police, Ghost in the Machine, and Wendell Wilkie’s book, One World, resonate with us today – in a world beset by climate change driven by use of fossil fuels.

And yet, Earth’s largest energy source is heat – which is carbon free, sustainable, equitable and secure for all.

In this fascinating talk, geologist Jon Gluyas explores our hot planet's 4.5 billion years of history to best understand our energy future – because “one world [has to be] enough for all of us.”
