Meet the artist and the scientists behind the impressive science-in-art treasure, Climate Mural for our Times, hidden inside Norwich's City Hall.
The mural, painted by artist Gennadiy Ivanov, depicts the climate through geological time and the human era, alongside a projected vision of the future. The piece also illustrates the impacts of climate change on the Norfolk landscape, and its dramatic effects on the social history of Norwich.
A short introductory talk of 15 minutes will be given in front of the mural. After that time, visitors will be able to explore the mural in detail, ask questions and engage in discussion. There will also be an opportunity to see the five elements paintings, which complement each panel in the mural.
The space will be open for approximately 40 minutes, but visitors will be able to leave earlier than this if they so wish.
The mural is in the main Council Chamber inside City Hall, on the first floor.
