A new project brings together sound artists, poets, freshwater scientists and audiences in London and Norfolk, in an exploration of farmland ponds and their extraordinary biodiversity.
The Arts Council funded project, 'The Secret Life of Ponds', will showcase collaborations and artworks that raise awareness of the importance of protecting and restoring farmland ponds within the context of climate change, at both the Grant Museum of Zoology and at Norwich Science Festival 2023. There will also be a series of performances and engagement activities for urban and rural communities, that aim to connect people with local pond habitats and inspire community action.
The project is run by Norfolk Ponds Project, in partnership with UCL Culture, Hot Poets and The Nature Recovery Network.
Sound artists, poets, and musicians are invited to apply now – act quickly, as the deadline is 30 September!
