From how to solve a crime to a llama dissection, and even the Complete Guide To Absolutely Everything (Abridged)

The much-loved Norwich Science Festival returned from 23 to 30 October 2021 to The Forum and across Norwich and Norfolk. Audiences of all ages enjoyed eight incredible and inspiring days of activities, talks and events to celebrate science in our region, ranging from how to solve a crime and a llama dissection to the Complete Guide To Absolutely Everything (Abridged), and everything in-between.

The sixth Norwich Science Festival was an opportunity to celebrate and showcase the groundbreaking ways that scientists and innovators are tackling challenges that society faces and helping us to embrace the future.

Delivered in a hybrid format at The Forum and at other partner venues as well as online, the eight-day celebration of science was welcomed back by partners, contributors and visitors with enthusiasm. Its engaging programme covered zoology and nature; climate change; digital technology; engineering; chemistry; astronomy, space and physics, and cutting-edge research from scientists at Norwich Research Park.

The successful Festival, delivered safely in line with the current guidelines to keep visitors, staff and contributors safe, was attended by over 67,500 visitors. With over 180 events, and more than 80 free events, there was plenty to enjoy from the full programme of hands-on science, talks, shows, workshops and Science After Six events designed specifically for adults.

Our thanks to the following companies for their sponsorship of the 2021 Norwich Science Festival:
