The very first Norwich Science Festival!

Our inaugural Festival was a huge success, thanks to the help of our partners, sponsors, funders, volunteers, venues and countless staff and contributors.

The first, city-wide Science Festival took place from 22-30 October and celebrated Norwich as a world-class city of science, and was preceded by a four-day learning programme for schools.

Headline speakers included Prof Robert Winston and Dr Ben Garrod, oceanographer and broadcaster Helen Czerski, ‘the people’s astronomer’ Mark Thompson of Stargazing Live, and Dr Marty Jopson, resident scientist on the BBC’s One Show. The Forum hosted an impressive life-sized, walk-through section of the Large Hadron Collider.
