Did you know that we can scientifically study language?

Words hold power, and not just when they’re used by humans.

The languages we speak constantly vary and change – such as the rise of new terms like “delulu” or “technofossil” - providing linguists with a vast array of data to analyse, track and explore.

From the words we use to describe ourselves and conversations with AI, to the conclusions that our brains might reach when we hear different sounds, Nellie Allsop will accompany you into the world of linguistics in this interactive and insightful session.
