Tanya has a doctorate in biochemistry and is a Chartered and European Patent Attorney, as well as a European Patent Litigator. She is part of the London team at Cooley, a global law firm specialising in tech and life sciences. Tanya uses her scientific and legal expertise to help clients protect their inventions.
Phil is a Principal Ecologist and head of the Dispersed Threats Team at the British Trust for Ornithology (BTO). BTO runs the national bird monitoring schemes in partnership with government agencies, conservation organisations and over 50,000 volunteer birdwatchers who collect data on their surveys. BTO has offices in all four UK countries and works on a range of issues, in particular the impacts of different land and marine management, renewable energy, agriculture and issues to do with the uplands and freshwater habitats.
Charlotte is a senior researcher in the department of Chemistry at the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Her work spans chemistry, physics, biology, and engineering, frequently working with industry partners from pharma, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, and petrochemical companies. An alumni of Norwich High School for Girls GDST, Charlotte is the Young Researcher Spokesperson for the European Nanoporous Materials Institute of Excellence (ENMIX), organising meetings and workshops for young researchers across Europe, aiding collaborative research between different institutes and countries.
