About Dr Emily Hobson

Dr Emily is a Lecturer in Pharmacology and Outreach Officer for the School of Chemistry, Pharmacy and Pharmacology at UEA. Emily's research interests are focussed on identifying and investigating novel drug targets for treating inflammatory diseases and cancer.

Beyond her research activities, Emily has a strong interest in the relationship between science and art. She is particularly inspired by the aesthetic and structural beauty found in the natural world: from the intricate architecture of microscopic cells to the striking patterns seen in flowers, insects, and animal biology. Emily is an active member of the Norwich Cancer Research Network and the British Pharmacological Society and has presented several outreach activities across the UK.
