The iconic and pioneering science variety mash returns to Norwich Science Festival for a night of science, comedy, music and mayhem! Join MC Robin Ince and a plethora of special guests including Helen Czerski, Clara Nellist, Anjana Khatwa, and Simon Watt.

Presented by The Cosmic Shambles Network, this variety evening celebrates curiosity and creativity across the spectrum – from astronomy to art, poetry to primatology, and everything delightfully in between.

Her first book, Whispers of Rock: Stories from the Earth is out now.

About Simon Watt

Simon is an evolutionary biologist, author, stand-up comedian and science communicator. He is a regular contributor to TV, radio and the web and perhaps best known as a presenter on the BAFTA-winning documentary series, Inside Nature’s Giants, the IFTA-winning Wild Cities and the Channel 4 special, The Elephant: Life After Death.

About Dr Clara Nellist

Clara is a particle physicist. She is Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Amsterdam and works at CERN on the ATLAS experiment. She is one of the most popular physics communicators online with half a million followers.

About Dr Helen Czerski

Helen is a physicist, first and foremost, but she’s acquired a few other labels along the way: oceanographer, presenter, author and bubble enthusiast. She is the author of two best-selling science books. Her latest, Blue Machine, won the 2024 Wainwright Prize for writing on Conservation.
