From the author of Wonderfully Wired Stories

Meet author Louise Gooding and her latest character, Minna, as they explore the idea of masking – a tool that can be used by people to help them adjust to situations where they might feel unsure.

Minna for example, wears a mask when she needs to feel brave, or meet new people. Through her story, children will explore how Minna might be feeling when she wears her mask, the ways in which we can look after each other, and how it can be possible to feel accepted and included - with or without a mask.

You’ll also get a chance to create your own mask and take part in a Q&A with Louise.

This event is inspired by Louise’s latest book, Minna’s Mask – the first in the Wonderfully Wired Stories series.

About Louise Gooding

After years working in children's entertainment, Louise Gooding channelled her creativity into writing. Louise has a keen interest in sharing stories that feature characters that stand out, are different, and who have something to say. Inspired by stories from her own experiences and those of her family, she took up writing to find a way of discussing neurological and physical diversity, and how to explore other sensitive issues within children’s books.
