Step into new worlds with Explorer Dome!

This inflatable planetarium brings science to life with immersive full-dome projections and presenter-led, interactive shows.

Discover new planets, galaxies, stars and stories in The Wonder of Space show. Or take a hands-on look at human biology and explore the fascinating world inside your body in Disgusting Digestion.

Every explorer needs a ticket - parents and children alike - to join these fun, interactive shows, suitable for all ages including SEND audiences. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event.

Access Information

We offer free Essential Companion tickets for those with access requirements and need someone to accompany them to make their visit easier and more comfortable. These can be booked online at the same time as booking a ticket to this event.

Please note that attendees will need to remove their shoes and crawl through a tunnel to enter the Explorer Dome, though an alternative entrance can be made available. Shows may include lights and loud noises.

FAQs

  • Do accompanying adults need to book a ticket?

    For the majority of our events, accompanying adults also need to book a ticket.

    Please see individual event listings on our website for details of when this does not apply. Please note that an accompanying adult is not an Essential Companion.

  • Can I buy tickets on the door?

    We recommend early booking for Norwich Science Festival events, as many shows will sell out.

    Tickets can be bought on the day at the Information Desk in The Explorium at The Forum, where card and cash payments can be taken.

    Tickets can also be bought online via our website right up until the time of the event, using a mobile phone. You will need to be connected to data or WiFi to purchase tickets online.

    Unfortunately, we are not able to offer cash ticket sales on the door at our events. Please check the website for updates regarding whether events are fully booked.

  • Can I get a refund for a NSF event?

    Refunds are not offered for paid-for events, unless an event is cancelled or postponed.

    Occasionally, events may be cancelled at short notice due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control. In the event of cancellation of pre-book events, every endeavor will be made to contact ticket holders and refunds will be offered. We regret that we may not be able to offer an alternative for cancelled events. Please check the website for up-to-date event information.

    Admission to the event is at the discretion of the event organiser.

    Events will run in line with local and national government guidelines at the time of the Festival.

Join us for an awe-inspiring tour of our planet, moon, sun, solar system and beyond. Learn how to spot the constellations and explore our place within the solar system.

Disgusting Digestion

A fun-filled, disgusting journey through the body - find out what happens to the food we eat, from plate to poo!

SEND performances

A dedicated relaxed version of the themed show, adapted for mixed-age SEND audiences. Wheelchairs can be accommodated. Please email [email protected] if you would like to discuss access requirements.

Explorer Dome shows are fully interactive, and are 100% presenter-led, hands-on and unforgettable! Made up of four domes, and a team of specialist presenters, the organisation has been operating for over 20 years - bringing science alive to over 80,000 children and adults every year!
