Why take part in Norwich Science Festival?

2025, Norwich Science Festival

Be part of something incredible and submit an Expressions of Interest

Norwich Science Festival returns to the city from 14–21 February 2026, and we’re on the lookout for bold, brilliant ideas to help shape our programme.

Whether you’re a scientist, artist, performer, educator or simply passionate about sharing knowledge, we want to hear from you!

2025 was an epic year for the Festival. Over just eight days, we welcomed an incredible 75,000 visitors into the heart of Norwich to enjoy a packed programme of more than 230 talks, workshops and shows

From the science of ghost hunting to a 3D exploration of the Earth's megfauna, Norwich Science Festival 2025 celebrated the full spectrum of STEMM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine – and engaged our audiences in unexpected and exciting ways.

A Decade of Discovery

Next year, we’ll be marking a very special milestone - a whole decade since the first Norwich Science Festival back in 2016.

In 2026, we’ll be inviting our audiences to see the world differently – to enter a space where science meets creativity, and curiosity sparks new possibilities. We’ll be celebrating the past whilst looking forward to the future, giving a platform to researchers, scientists, and curious minds who are helping shape what’s next.

What’s it like to be part of Norwich Science Festival?

Here’s what a few of our incredible 2025 participants had to say:

"The highlight of taking part in NSF for me was seeing how my event BODY/SPACE/PLAY brought people together in such an open and creative way. Watching the audience respond to the dancers with their own mark making/drawings was really moving — it felt like everyone was part of something alive and collaborative. I loved how the space became a kind of shared playground for movement and expression."

- Hannah Ashmore, Artist and Academic.

"In my day-to-day work I spend a lot of time having serious conversations with adults and talking about heavy topics, so it was refreshing to be able to deliver a session to a room of thoughtful and inquisitive young people! I’ll never forget some of the discussions I had with attendees and I’m proud that I was able to share my knowledge about autism and, in particular, autistic joy with them."

- Nellie Allsop, Trainer and Consultant.

Nellie took audiences on a journey to learn about and celebrate autism in their eye-opening event, Nellie's Autistic Brain.

"Norwich has a special place in my heart; my wife is from there, so we visit all the time with our daughter. I was super delighted and proud to perform at the science festival this year, as I really wanted to find a way to give something back to the amazing city and show people how amazing science is!

The organisers were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I’ve made some great friends through it. The Forum was a great venue, the people of Norwich are a fantastic audience and I’m super keen to come again!"

- Dr Nikhil Mistry, Science Communicator.

"For me, as a veteran of lots of festivals, it's simple - the crowds! The audiences at Norwich Science Festival bring so much positive energy, engagement and keen-ness to learn. I always leave Norwich Science Festival, inspired, with a skip in my step. That's what brings me back to this festival again and again. All power to you!"

- Jules Howard, Zoological Correspondent, Author and Presenter.

A familiar face at Norwich Science Festival, Jules Howard performed two incredible shows in 2025: MEGA! The Biggest Animals that Ever Lived and Infinite Life: Eggs and the Evolution of Life on Earth.

"Norwich Science Festival is a joy – the whole festival buzzes with excitement and curiosity. I come back to the festival time and again because each event is packed with curious and friendly people willing to share discuss and explore.

The team behind the festival make pulling off the impossible look easy! It’s not just what happened in the room too, the conversations carry on for weeks and months after I’ve had lots of other invitations to speak at events and even a publisher get in touch with me – all thanks to Norwich Science Festival."

- Dr Jamie Gallagher, Engagement Professional and Science Communicator.
