Discover wild nightlife at ROARR with their ever popular Dinos in the Dark event on Saturday 24 August. Budding paleontologists can explore the park as it transforms into a twilight Jurassic adventure – complete with stargazing, wildlife exhibits and valley tours.
If you’re looking for ways to entertain your 4–11-year-olds over the holidays, why not sign them up for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, Marvellous Makers? Offered by Norfolk Libraries, children can unlock rewards for their reading, collect stickers, and receive a medal and certificate when they reach their challenge goal!
Visit the Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell any day this summer and take part in a Brilliant Birds craft activity. Included in the museum admission cost, you can create your own beautiful bird decorations out of paper to take home. Suitable for crafters of all ages, you can also try your hand at Wonderful Weaving every Tuesday at the museum (up until 27 August).

Make the most of your day out at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse with their Go Wild Wednesdays (7, 14, 21 & 28 August). Discover life on a working farm and take part in extra activities and play stations across the site, including a special Storytime & Gallery Exploration recommended for adventurers under 5 and Woodland Wednesdays for children under 12.
Perfect for nature enthusiasts and conservationists alike, Norfolk Wildlife Trust is running an array of free events this summer. Join the friendly team plunging for prawns and dunking for dabs on Tuesday 20 August as they go sea dipping at NWT Holme Dunes.
Strange Fascination Theatre is back to celebrate their tenth year with a brand-new show! ‘The Lost World’ by Arthur Conan Doyle promises to be an unmissable family adventure, complete with intricate handmade puppets and immersive storytelling. The open-air theatre show has several dates throughout August, with shows taking place at various venues across the region.
