With just two days to go, we're gearing up for our epic 10 year celebration of science from Saturday 14–Sunday 21 February 2026!
To help make the most of your Norwich Science Festival experience, we've put together a visitor guide packed with everything you need to know.
If you have any questions about tickets or need help with your visit, our Plan Your Visit webpage also has FAQs, accessibility information and helpful travel tips!
For the smoothest Norwich Science Festival experience, we highly recommend booking event tickets in advance. Most of our events (even the free ones!) require pre-booking.
While we don’t offer tickets at the door, you can easily secure your spot online right up until the event start time - perfect for those last-minute plans! Visit our what's on page to see the full programme.
Explore the incredible line-up of events, shows, talks and workshops at Norwich Science Festival 2026!
Explore the programmeOn the day tickets are also available to purchase from the Information Desk inside The Explorium at The Forum. Open 9.30am–4pm, every day of the Festival, our friendly team will be there to assist with last-minute bookings (subject to availability) and can accept both cash and card payments.
Norwich Science Festival tickets can only be booked online on our website at norwichsciencefestival.co.uk. We are not able to take bookings over the phone or in person.
There is a limit of maximum ten tickets per transaction. If you wish to book more tickets, you will need to complete another transaction.
Please note that some bookings are made via our booking system, Ticketsolve, and other events must be booked directly through our partner venues, such as Norwich Theatre.
Please show your ticket (printed or mobile) on entry to the event, or give your name which will appear on a customer list.
All tickets are sent out electronically via email. If you haven't received a confirmation email, please check your junk or spam folder. If you still can't find it, please email [email protected] or the venue through which you bought the ticket.
Tickets are not available in person, by telephone, post or email with The Forum office.
We recommend early booking for Norwich Science Festival events, as many shows will sell out.
Tickets can be bought on the day at the Information Desk in The Explorium at The Forum, where card and cash payments can be taken.
Tickets can also be bought online via our website right up until the time of the event, using a mobile phone. You will need to be connected to data or WiFi to purchase tickets online.
Unfortunately, we are not able to offer cash ticket sales on the door at our events. Please check the website for updates regarding whether events are fully booked.
For the majority of our events, accompanying adults also need to book a ticket.
Please see individual event listings on our website for details of when this does not apply. Please note that an accompanying adult is not an Essential Companion.
Babies under 2 years old - often referred to as 'babes in arms' - do not need a ticket as they do not require a seat. For the majority of our events, all attendees (adults and children over 2 years old) do need a ticket.
Please note that some events are not suitable for very young children.
We have kept ticket prices as low as possible for all tickets sold by Norwich Science Festival, and so do not offer concessions. Many events are free.
For tickets sold by other venues, e.g. Norwich Theatre, please see their website for terms and conditions regarding concession tickets.
If you are booking tickets directly with Norwich Science Festival, our booking platform Ticketsolve will prompt you to enter any accessibility requirements during the checkout process.
You can also contact a member of the team to discuss access requirements at [email protected]. It may be helpful to provide your name, number in party, number in party with specific requirements (e.g. wheelchair place required), and what type of ticket(s) you have booked (if more than one price point). We'll then liaise with the venue to ensure that there are places reserved for your party. On arrival at the event, please identify your party to our event staff, and you'll be shown to the reserved places.
If you have access requirements and need someone to accompany you to make your visit to a Norwich Science Festival event easier and more comfortable, an additional Essential Companion ticket can be booked for our paid-for events.
Check each individual event listing for information on how to book a free Essential Companion ticket. For events where tickets are purchased direct with the venue, e.g. Norwich Theatre, please check their website for details on how to book Essential Companion tickets.
If you would like to discuss specific access requirements, please contact us at [email protected] with your name, title of event, number of people in your party, and any access information you feel would be helpful to our team in ensuring your visit is as comfortable as possible.
Refunds are not offered for paid-for events, unless an event is cancelled or postponed.
Occasionally, events may be cancelled at short notice due to circumstances beyond the organisers’ control. In the event of cancellation of pre-book events, every endeavor will be made to contact ticket holders and refunds will be offered. We regret that we may not be able to offer an alternative for cancelled events. Please check the website for up-to-date event information.
Admission to the event is at the discretion of the event organiser.
Events will run in line with local and national government guidelines at the time of the Festival.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer a waiting list service, as we do not have a box office able to deal with this.
The maximum number of tickets that can be booked per event per customer is 10. If you would like to bring a larger group, please email [email protected] with information about your party, size, number of tickets required and any access requirements, and we will see what we can do.
Our box office system, Ticketsolve, is used across The Forum's activities and festivals, including Norwich Science Festival, Norfolk Makers Festival, Norfolk Heritage Open Days and Norwich Games Festival. If you have bought tickets for one of these events, you may already have an account on Ticketsolve, and should use the same log-in details.
You are also able to check out as a guest - when you reach the log-in page, scroll to the bottom and click the 'Continue As Guest'.
If you are still having problems, please contact [email protected] or call The Forum office on 01603 727950.

Open daily from 10am throughout the Festival (10.30am on Sundays), the Sunflower Snug is our accessible, quieter space on the top floor of the Millennium Library at The Forum. It's an ideal place to transition between activities, take a calm break, or enjoy your visit in a more relaxed setting.
Our friendly, trained team members are on hand to help, and the Snug offers a range of sensory and calming activities for all ages. You can also borrow ear defenders and fidget toys to use while exploring the Festival.
If you need them elsewhere, ear defenders are available from the Information Desk inside The Explorium at The Forum, and sensory backpacks can be borrowed from our helpful Customer Services team.

Wrap up warm and head outside The Forum to see science in action - with outdoor family shows, live science experiments and free performances every day of the Festival.
We’re keeping our fingers crossed for good weather, but we’ve also arranged a marquee just in case the rain makes an appearance. Changes to show times may need to made at short notice. For the latest updates on the day, please visit our team at the Information Desk in The Forum.
Photography and filming will take place at many Festival events. These images are really important in helping us share the Festival with others and support our applications for funding.
If you would prefer not to be included, please let a member of the Festival team know. We will always ask for permission from anyone who is clearly identifiable in photographs, or from their parent or guardian, and request that a consent form is completed.
We know that running a large public event has an impact on the environment, and we’re committed to understanding that impact and doing our best to reduce it. By making small changes together, we can help make Norwich Science Festival more sustainable for everyone.
