Explore the world of minibeasts and blast off into space, with Norwich Science Festival schools events

Norwich Science Festival 2019 Learning Programme
2019, Learning

Students can explore the world of minibeasts, blast off into space, discover the science of flight and much more, in the dedicated Norwich Science Festival Learning Programme to inspire the next generation of scientists.

The Learning Programme returns this October for four days of exciting science for schools, youth groups and home-educated learners, organised by The Forum.

The programme, which runs 14–17 October, engages students with STEMM subjects – science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine – through fun, stimulating hands-on workshops and inspirational shows.

The events take place at host venue The Forum and partner venues such as Norwich Cathedral, Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, and Norwich Puppet Theatre. Plus, for schools that find it difficult to venture out, there’s a special ‘Science in Schools’ strand where the best STEMM providers bring science to the classroom.

Natalie Bailey, Norwich Science Festival producer, said: “We’re delighted to be working with so many excellent science providers to deliver fantastic events for our Learning Programme – from rap science to searching moons for life! We have events for reception, primary, secondary and sixth forms, plus the Explorium Space Squad for home-educated families and a Spectacular Science show for Youth Groups.”

The Festival is a partnership initiative involving many organisations from across the region, coordinated by The Forum, Norwich, with headline sponsorship from Anglian Water.
