About Jaega Wise

Jaega is the Head Brewer of East London based Wild Card Brewery. With a background in chemical engineering, Jaega combines her expertise in engineering, mathematics, logistics and a love of all things beer, leading the award-winning brewing team at Wild Card for over ten years.

Jaega is vocal about equal representation within the brewing community. She spearheaded an industry-wide ruling in the UK that banned sexist, homophobic, and racist labelling on beer; as well as working closely with her brewing mentor to build and grow the International Women’s Collaboration Brew network.

She was named one of London's most influential figures in the Evening Standard's Progress 1000 as well as Brewer of the Year in 2018 and 2022. In 2023, she was nominated for CODE Hospitality’s Women of the Year. Jaega is also one of the core presenters of The Food Programme on BBC Radio Four.
