We're back at the Royal Norfolk Show!
Norwich Science Festival and The Forum have teamed up with lots of our lovely partners to bring science fun to the Discovery Zone, the Show's hub of interactive learning and entertainment for young people and families.
With stands from our wonderful partners:
Have a go at the Bee Trail from Earlham Institute! Follow the trail, collect stickers and learn about bees, pollination and why it is so important. Plus see the LEGO DNA sequencer in action!
Explore the science of nutrition using Smarties, growing food in hydroponics, and clinical trials with the Quadram Institute.
The John Innes Centre stand will host experiments to improve the starch content of plants.
The UEA School of Pharmacy will show you how it’s using garlic derivatives to protect potatoes from nematode worms, and UEA School of Environmental Sciences shows how you can create useful soil from waste.
Extract DNA from bananas with The Little Story Telling Company.
Did you know potatoes come from a rich and colourful family? Come and meet their curious relatives at the Sainsbury Laboratory stand and find out how potatoes can be made resistant to blight.
The Discovery Zone is near the Dereham Gate and schools entrance in the Showground - download the Royal Norfolk Show map.
Come along and join in the science fun at the Discovery Zone!
