Back for 2025 - historical guide Nigel Wimhurst takes you on a walking tour through the city’s streets, exploring Norwich's long and rich medical history, from the founding of the medieval Great Hospital to Edith Cavell..

Lasts approximately 90 minutes. Participants should meet outside The Forum for the tour to begin. The tour will end at Norwich Cathedral.

About Nigel Wimhurst

Nigel has worked as a History teacher and as a tutor organiser for the WEA. He has taught in Tanzania and in Norwich, as the Head of History at Norwich City College. Since retiring, he has acted as a popular historical guide in the city.
