What happens to our clothes when we stop wearing them?

Exhibition opening times

10am - 12pm
1 - 4pm

How much do you think about the clothes you wear? This exhibition explores stories of our clothes: from the materials they’re made from, to what happens to them when we stop wearing them, and the effect this has on people and planet. Exploring some possible solutions for more sustainable fashion systems, the exhibition will prompt us to reflect on Norwich fashions past and present, and what we want fashion to look like in the future.

Curated by We Wear The Trousers and supported by the University of East Anglia.

Cost: Free, drop-in

Recommended age: 10+

Brought to you by We Wear the Trousers, UEA Climate of Change, Norwich Research Park and Norwich University of Arts.

About We Wear The Trousers

We Wear The Trousers is a not-for-profit organisation aimed at empowering people to keep clothing in active use for longer. This not only reduces the overall environmental impact of our wardrobes, but also teaches us to think differently about the clothes we wear, and how we use them.

We believe that through engagement, education and events, we can transform our relationships with our clothing from the current, unfulfilling Fast Fashion paradigm, to something much more meaningful.

About the University of East Anglia

Tackling global challenges, striving for student and staff success, and creating a vibrant and inclusive environment, the University of East Anglia is an anchor institution in the Norwich and Norfolk community.
