Mini Monsters

Join the Kastle Kids team and meet some very friendly creepy crawlies and reptiles from Mini Monsters. Learn lots of fascinating facts about each creature before getting the chance to meet them up close and see what they feel like (if you’re brave enough). Plus free storytelling and crafts.

The Mini Monsters Creepy Crawly Roadshow allows children the opportunity to meet, learn about and handle several different species of animals, from giant snails and millipedes to lizards, tarantulas and snakes. All the creatures are very friendly and selected for their calm and docile temperaments. The sessions are both educational and fun for children and their grown-ups alike. The session is presented by ex-zookeeper Ed Mackay BSc Environmental Science.

Ed Mackay has been working with animals since 2002, graduating from the UEA in 2008 with a BSc in Environmental Science he originally planned to become a teacher but decided instead to combine his passion for wildlife and the environment with education by taking over Mini Monsters in 2013. Since that time he has presented his collection of animals to over 50,000 children in schools, groups, birthday parties and various events across East Anglia and beyond.
