Hear how Warren Elsmore turned his love of little plastic bricks into an art and a job. He creates amazing models out of LEGO® bricks, and his exhibitions have toured Europe.
Plus, have a go at your own LEGO® constructions – what will you build?
The event is part of a day of activities sponsored by and delivered in partnership with University Technical College Norfolk (UTCN) on Hall Road. There’s free shuttle buses (sponsored by Norse Group) all day between The Forum and UTCN, and free parking at UTCN, so get exploring and see what you can build!
Warren Elsmore is an artist in LEGO® bricks and a lifelong fan of LEGO who is based in Edinburgh, U.K. After 15 years in a successful IT career, in 2012 Warren moved to working full time with LEGO® bricks. He now helps companies such as IBM, LEGO®, DFDS, WPP and Visit Denmark to realise their own dreams in plastic.
Warren’s bestselling first book (Brick City) was released in 21 languages to critical acclaim and has been followed by a range of books each recreating parts of the world we inhabit in plastic bricks. His models have always attracted great press coverage – one of his models has even made it as far as the South Pole thanks to the British Antarctic Survey!
Exhibitions of three of Warrens’ books (Brick City, Wonders and History) tour museums and galleries throughout Europe, entertaining hundreds of thousands of children of all ages. In 2014, Warren co-launched ‘BRICK’ – the largest LEGO® fan event in the UK and one of the largest in the world.
The Brick Wonders exhibition will be at The Forum 1 December – 21 January.
