Entertaining Science – Circus Skills Show

With Dr Ken Farquhar

This is an event from the 2019 edition

Roll up, roll up it’s time for some ‘circus science’! Watch Dr Ken explore the science behind skillful tricks and seemingly impossible stunts. Discover why jugglers love gravity, how clowns use forces like a Jedi and why unicyclists keep moving to stay still. It’s science but not as you know it!

Dr Ken perfected his skills as a science presenter by working as a street performer, mime, teacher and in television production. He has toured his shows and workshops in schools, science and arts festivals worldwide.

He creates inspirational shows and workshops for schools at all levels and delivers development programmes for educational professionals, academics and businesses. He is currently an honorary lecturer in Science Communication at the University of East Anglia.
